\n It supports the mission of BITC’s Place programme, to facilitate meaningful connections between businesses, communities, and local councils to reset economic ambitions and collaborate on new, innovative solutions that will deliver\n long-term, transformative impact.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Partnerships in Place: the business of levelling up<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

In August 2021, the Place Taskforce launched a call for evidence into the role of business in place-based regeneration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A variety of themes were explored, from what motivates business to engage in place-based regeneration and what barriers exist to how local authorities and national government can work with business to encourage engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n This has cumulated in a set of recommendations which provide practical guidance to business, national government, and local government on the role that business can play in delivering on the \u2018how\u2019 of the levelling up white paper. These\n outputs form the foundations that are needed, both nationally and locally, to truly transform communities.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
